Forgive my ignorance folks but what is a Grom unit and what does it do. I a car has a DSP system, how do you get it to play music from your iPhone?

Is there anything that can be used on the DSP system?

Only aux in iirc. When I was hunting for my grom or dension unit they did all say not for the carver/ esp system. I'm sure there must be a work around for them but I think the issue is the amp doesn't take the signal from it. So the HU works and all that but it doesn't produce any sound.

If your using iPod or iPhone an intravee could could work just needs a Extra adaptor but also check which connectors are on the cd changer

I don't actually have GROM but this https://gromaudio.co.uk/bmw-dsp-conversion-kit.html suggests it does work for DSP cars. Not sure though, but I believe my car has the DSP and I have another bluetooth device in place.

Intravee are fine with DSP (analogue version) which was introduced sometime before facelift. Early DSP cars are digital and require an interface.

So if the OP has a facelift, which I’m guessing he does then an intravee is fine for iPhone music playback.

And so is Gatewayy - I have a facelift with Logic8 10 seakers, and gateway works fine, without any adapters - just plug it between the loom, and original HU.
