Groan from the front passenger side

Hi guys

We have a private multi story car park at work which is a one way system. Getting around it it's usually full lock right turn on and off the ramps. When doing this I get a bit of a groan from the front passenger side - what could this be? It's bloody difficult to get it on video to show you!

I went over a sped bump lately and there was a little knock from the same place which I think is probably related.

Does this sound like some new top mounts are needed? Or is it just a full lock noise.

Car has Eibach springs and I don't think they've snapped (followed a guide on YouTube to check). PS fluid is full and I torqued all the strut brace bolts.

Just sounds like the chassis moaning at the twisting and full locks to me

Yea the more I listen to it the more I agree. Not heard the knock since I torqued the strut brace so hopefully that is cured.

Groan possibly just the angles and lock.

Might get it checked out just in case. If anyone else has any suggestions then fire away though!

Mines a roadster but it does groan when I go up at an angle into a local carpark but it's purely chassis scuttle noises

And I tighten my strut braces on front as did also moan

On a serious note, mine used to creak like a bitch when reversing slowly. Re-torqueing the factory strut to bulkhead braces cured it immediately. It actually sounded like a creak coming from behind the radio.

As you car is lowered, on full lock your wheel may catch on any under arch trim fixings that protrude - that could cause a knocking-type sound?

Just to close this out for anyone interested/searching in future - the noise is simply the diff which can groan at slow speed full lock turns which is most noticeable when cold and in a multi story car park (pretty much my exact circumstance as my work car park is a multi-storey)

Causes no problems, however due to a number of complaints BMW can update the diff oil if requested which reduces the noise. Usually done as part of an Inspection 2. Think the updates stuff is around £120 more than the standard spec.

I can't see how it can work It's way from between rear wheels through your prop shaft gearbox and to rear of engine input shaft,

Or is that just me?
