Grille extraction fail.

Nice dry sunny day here in Holland and I've just been out to try and extract the front grilles from the Zed in order to plastidip them.
Theyre not budging though. Won't move. Nadda. I thought it was simply yank/lift up and then out?
Spent about 10 mins using various techniques and angles of attack but it's beaten me. Bugger.
Any ideas?

Get hold of the vertical slats and push upwards firmly whilst pulling the lower edge outwards. I have to be quite 'firm' with mine but they come out without too much of a fight.

Hmm, will try that.
Will a plakky trim tool help to pull the bottom out?

Think I'm gonna split them and just dip the surrounds so it's easy to go back if it doesnt tickle me fancy. Or maybe even go with gunmetal later on the slats, or surrounds, or both. undecided.com

How u gettin on with the amp btw? Find some decent caps yet?
I'll be tackling my own when the weather gets a bit warmer. Don't have the luxur of a garage here in holland :/

Have ordered a desoldering iron, illuminated bench magnifier and a capacitance meter. Will pull and test before I order the replacements. Hope to get it started this weekend, but a forum member dropped off his backbox this morning for modding, so that's jumped the queue
