Grey Alloy Centres and Bonnet BMW Motif

Hi,

Am getting alloys refurbed soon from Wheel Genie in Huntingdon (touch wood they are ok), and thought I might replace the centre bmw logos of each alloy.

I have a grey BMW, so wondered if grey alloy centres and dark grey bonnet emblem would look good.

You can get some carbon fibre ones off ebay which look cool.

Anyone done this before, photo etc? What are your thoughts?

Run a search as there are lots of us who have replaced all the roundels (bonnet, boot, side r4peaters, wheels and steering centre) with CF. There are links to a good ebay seller too and sizes

They look very good on a Sterling grey Zed:

Fair do's CJ yours are on a particularly exceptional Z. Carbon deffo suits the Sterling Grey more than any other colour. Go for it :thumbsup:
 
Nice Car mate, what colour are your alloys, standard or are they a particular effect?
 
Thanks Mafoo - Just happened to have posted some shots 10 mins earlier so linked to them and one of the side. I agree with many of these changes it depends on the base colour and I'm manic about modding to a theme, which in my case I think they also work.

Shidevil - they are 108's done in smoked chrome with normal polished lips and silvered inners (although they appear black above) DIY refurb with a local pro doing the stars for me.
 
Very good - actually a rather tired but interesting farm stable yard that a friend owns. Nice photo place to contrast the Zed
 
At risk of sounding like an idiot, how do you replace the roundels, do the new ones come with some sort of sticky backing, and the only ones just pull off?
 
You need to stock them down with some silicone or double sided tape.

I have had a set before i even picked up my car :oops: slowly putting them on now!
