Hey guys and girls,
Just joined the forums and before you say anything if the weather hadn't been so rubbish today i'd have taken a picture of my car... It's an 05' E85 3.0i. I'll hopefully add some pics tomorrow weather permitting!
I was directed to this site after posing a question about brakes on a facebook Z4 page by a gent called Taz! So you have him to complain to...
The question I was posing there (which i admit i should probably add to a different section in this forum no doubt) was if anyone had pulled the brake callipers off a BMW 135i M Sport or the like and stuck them on their Z4s? I was wondering if it was worth looking into... it looks to me like they might fit. Just wondering if anyone had any tales to tell. Would prefer the 4 pot calipers (or some might have 6 piston calipers actually, i'm not sure) if i was going into any track days.

Anyway, Nice to be here, loving seeing everyone's beautiful cars! Hopefully show you mine in due course... My car i mean...

I'm trying to rip them off another car exactly because as they have in that thread if you buy a new set of say 4 piston Brembos new are around 2.4k 6 Piston around 3.2k... there are next to none going around on ebay or anything. I had heard of people getting them out of porsches... but when i looked into a couple they were too big (depth wise) and would have interfered with the wheel itself. A porsche would have been nice as people have crashed loads of them and i could get them from a breakers yard fairly easily ;)
