Thanks for all the kind replies, nice to see a few other welsh members on the forum too! No pictures as of yet other than the computer generated one from the dealer. Should have said earlier that I've also specced heated seats and gone for the 19" wheel option.

Atom1: I am assuming that I'll be able to collect the car on Sunday the first as this is the date that the dealer told me back when i ordered? Not sure if he realised that the first was a Sunday so I will have to check this if you've been told otherwise. Surely the dealers can get the paperwork done the week prior to collection 'cos it must happen all the time? I'll keep you posted

Jembo: I actually work in Port Tennant at the moment, small world. You should make the trip to (Not so) Sunny Swansea soon and try and catch a game, I was at the Europa league game against Malmo on Thursday night and they're playing some fantastic stuff

I do have a bit of a newbie question.....does anyone know if I'll be able to stream music over bluetooth with the standard radio in the e89 from my iPhone?

When i have picked up a new car before and the 1st falls on a sunday ....the tax cannot be registered as tax offices are closed and do not issue tax discs in advance....therefore if you collect on the sunday it will be registered and taxed on sat 31/08 and therefore a 13 plate. So i was told I had to collect the car on the 2nd for that reason.....hope that helps

Well I noticed the Orange Z in your avatar and since that's the only one I've ever seen, realised I know where you live. Those two cars are a bit difficult to miss!!!!

Aye Swansea.
Joined and purchased my Z4 last week, being delivered on Tuesday.
From sunny Swansea as well.
See you all around.

Just saw your photo in the other thread, beautiful car and bet you can't wait until Tuesday. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for it.

Just 4 weeks to go until I collect mine, sure time is starting to slow down, made worse by the fact I have six weeks off work and all I have to drive is a fiat 500

Just a quick update on this, mainly for the attention of Atom1.
I had a call from the dealer today to chose my number plate and confirm collection arrangements. The salesman told me that its not a problem at all to collect on Sunday the 1st and doesn't make any difference that it's a Sunday. Not sure if being from Swansea and having the DVLA based here has anything to do with this (making paperwork etc easier) but perhaps a call to your dealer may be in order?

Anyway, collecting at 15:00 on the first :D

Thanks for the confirmation, I will certainly be giving them a ring tomorrow.

I actualy think its because they dont like doing hand overs on a Sunday, as its one of there busiest days for sales.

Would you do me a favour and ask your sales person why mine may be reluctant to hand over on the sunday?

Hello and welcome Ben from an ex-owner, but in Wales  In fact, I was in Swansea on Monday, followed by a cross country drive home through the Black Mountains in my ALPINA: proper roads and a proper car to do it in  I'm sure you'll make use of them soon in your new toy :D

We collected our new 118d on a Sunday lunchtime from Sytner Cardiff and that was absolutely no issue whatsoever with all of our paperwork dated from that day (we're buying it on a PCP, so lots of paperwork and id production etc etc). Dealer location and tax disc is not the issue: the dealer is just being recalcitrant
