After lurking for a week or two, it's time to say hello!

This is my new-to-me 2010 Z4 3.0i S Drive, which I picked up last week. She's a Jan 2010 build with 35.5k miles. It was owned for the last 14 years by a family member, and before that had one other owner. Except for a smaller aerial, it's a completely standard car, having been garaged for the last 14 years and covering less than 20k miles in that time. It's in pretty good condition. This will be a weekend/fair weather car and spend most of its life in the garage with me too - but feel it's an appreciating asset now :sneaky:

Wanting to ensure it was mechanically good, it had a major service, brake fluid change, and inspection at a local dealer this week, and got a clean bill of health.

The seals on the rear tail lights have gone, and instead of filling with water, they have, being garaged all the time and not really seeing any wet stuff, filled with dust! A new set is ordered and due soon, so it will be refreshed nicely!

Every wheel has found a kerb at some point, so the next point of order is to sort that. I'm not going to refinish the diamond cut parts and will opt for a full colour across the whole alloy - saves future diamond cut issues.

My only other itch at the moment is looking at potential infotainment updates to get Android Auto into the car; undecided what route to go at the moment. I'm also trying to figure out options to make the DRLs a little whiter from their current yellow and wondering if a set of Osram Nightbreakers (without going down LED route) would improve the current look.

Welcome and a fine choice of Z4 there.
All of us manual 30i owners believe they are an appreciating asset! 😉
Don't forget to switch out the salmon roof relays (easy and saves pain in the future).
The android auto is something I have thought about but any of the solutions are less than straightforward if, like me, you don't have idrive. There are plenty of threads on it though.
Oh and you have some gorgeous surroundings to drive through. I spent nearly 3 years in Norn Iron a while back (work) and loved it and the people 😀

Thanks :)

I've been looking at these relays now - are they they same part x 2 or two different part numbers?

I'm thinking it's 2 x 12631742690

Welcome aboard and congratulations on acquiring such a lovely low mileage Z4. I love your red interior too.

A few people have found Osram Nightbreakers an improvement over the standard candles!
