Greetings everyone! New member as of today. I have a G29 s30i en route from the port at Sparrows Point, just cleared the processing center, should arrive at the dealership somewhere around the 25th. Thanks for having me.

I'm coming from a 2019 MINI Cooper S convertible (and 2016 before it), very much looking forward to getting back into a Roadster. I also owned 2007 and 2012 Mazda MX-5 Miatas, extremely fun to drive and amazingly reliable. However, the G29 is my dream roadster and I can't wait to get into it.

My first roadster was a 1971 MGB back when I was a teen. It was a hoot to drive but challenged my patience on the mechanical end what with the Smith electrics, hydraulic shock absorbers, twin SU carbs, electric fuel pump with points that loved to stick (kept a hammer in the trunk to whack the fuel pump when they did), and the heater that would roast my legs while allowing my torso to freeze. Ah the good old days.

Hello and welcome to the forum . Quite a selection of cars you have had there . What colour have you ordered your G29 in ?

Welcome aboard. Apologies in advance that we're predominantly across the pond from you. But the enthusiasm is still the same and most of our colonial cousins seem to find it worthwhile sticking around.
Look forward to seeing pics of your new acquisition.

Excellent username by the way. Love a play on words.

It's the black sapphire with magma red interior, shadowline, and black 799M wheels. I gather that naming the Zed isn't terribly popular but I've decided to crown mine "Darth ZEDer".

As the day grows nearer, so does the anticipation.

Oh please tell me you're going to pick it up dressed like your avatar

Hi Stan, welcome to the forum. I owned a MGB roadster 1970 in my early 20s, spent most weekends replacing bits. BMWs seem to be more reliable though. Have fun with your new car.
