Finally made up my mind about whether the next soft top is going to be a Boxster or a Z4 and the beemer won.
Its going to replace a Lotus Elan M100 which I was going to advertise this weekend but this arctic weather has kiboshed that idea, will leave it for a couple of weeks I think.
Not sure whether it's going to be a 2.5 or a 3.0 ,either one is OK so will probably take the best car regardless.
I imagine the 3.0 is heavy on juice but as it's a Sunday afternoon car it's not that important.
All I know is that it's not going to be a silver one.
Will post up some pics and my first impressions when the new car arrives.

Hi and welcome aboard
We love pics of Lotus's too
Take a look at AlanJ thread it might be of help - https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=21281#p300458

Welcome to the forum from another Berkshire member.

You won't regret getting a Z4 - I certainly haven't. :)

I'd look for the best one you can find as the running costs are pretty much the same for a 2.5 or a 3 litre - they're basically the same engine but with different internal dimensions. So there's no reason not to get a 3 litre - you know it makes sense!

Good luck with the sale of the Lotus. Then you can get busy Z4 hunting. :)

Hi and welcome  found my old e85 3.0 fairly good on fuel generally around 30 mpg unless I gave it too much right foot

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I am sitting here in Twyford watching the snow come down and thinking the top down days are a long way off.
The sooner I can get the Elan passed on and start looking for a car the better.
The Boss has laid down the law very firmly that one car has to go before I can get another one or else I am sleeping in the garage !
