Greetings from a new member...

Hi everyone,

Philip from Cape Town, South Africa here.

Admittedly not a Z4 pilot, but rather an E90 330i manual pilot with the N52B30 engine.

Registered here since this is the same engine used in the Z4 3.0 Si so there is a common ground for sharing info etc.

Hello and welcome, you are not alone here, some members are ex Z4 owners and some are Z4 owners waiting to happen.

Thanks for the kind welcome guys!!

Maybe a Z4 later on, have an aching for a Z4 M to be honest!

But ideally a four door is what works for me...

Well, my father in law has a '03 Z4 3.0i (M54B30) SMG! 8)

Welcome - Z ownership by association works :D

Find a way of scratching that itch though... My other half drives the 'family' wagon

Are cars really that expensive there? Lot of Saffers I know here buy cars and take them back home when they go back...

Thanks guys! LOL, yep Z4's are awesomeness!! They have so much character!

Yep, car prices here, especially used car prices, are somewhat insane! But by contrast I think out fuel prices are still pretty decent (not cheap, but not as crazy as I gather it is in the UK and other countries). Over here, cars like a Z4 just like an ///M, hold their value even when replaced with a newer model. And because of the popularity so does the 3 series, but 5 and 7 series drop in value quite quickly - but they are mostly (all in the case of the 7 series) automatics which is not my cup of tea personally. Even old E36 convertibles and Z3's are still selling for decent money, and not always in top condition, same of course with the E46 convertibles.

Now with the new car market, I will personally never buy new! Prices are just too insance to believe, which in part is why even the used car market prices are often mad! But at least buying used you are benifiting from the initial drop in value...
