Howdy folks.

A brief introduciton, I'm Dan from cheshire and joined the "club" on 24 Feb with a Montego Blue 07 sport from the local main dealer. Was just "window shopping" on a rainy sunday afternoon and she caught my eye. After a quick test drive just had to put a deposit down. Anyway, previous BMWs include a 330 convertible Msport and an S50 Mcoupe for a while in the US in the mid 90s. Was looking to rekindle the love affair with the Mcoupe but plumped for the Z4 for now and am thoroughly enjoying it. Unfortunately it came with a slow puncture in the front but that leads me to think about getting rid of the run flats which I see most of you have done (and which is how I came across this forum). Seems like real handling improvements to be had....

Anyhows look forward to tapping you all up for knowledge in the coming months....

Very nice :) Ist mod would have to be a stubby arial, just a good visual sign for others, lets them know you are a member.
 
Aha! that would solve the ball ache of taking it off everytime the car cover goes on. Where's best? ebay?
 
There's a few different thoughts on this one , best is to do a search for stubby aerials in the search facility at the top of page , i went for a peugeot one of ebay probably wont cost any more than a fiver.
 
welcome along, i have a spare stubby - company sent me a second when i complained the original didnt show up - two days later the original arrrived!! anyway pm me if you want it mate and ill post off to you.

too late now but even the 3" stubby is best taken off when you cover it up, there is also a 1.5" stubby

Yeah I really like the blue. The interior is black and aluminium. I have a weakness for shiny blue beamers with black leather, my 330 was the same. Much prefer the ally trim, the 330 had carbon fibre which scratched and peeled very easily. Its SI sport spec. Not sure what is standard in SI sport but it seems to have the works, auto lights/mirrors/climate etc.. parking sensors, lecky heated seats, msport multifunction wheel, bluetooth and snap in iphone cradle, business cd with ipod connector, cup holders (lack of which in 330 drove me mad) yadda yadda and thanks to IMP75 it is sporting its first mod today..... a newly fitted stubby which my girlfriend in all innocence keeps calling a chubby which is mildly amusing. And yes, the stubby does need to come off before the cover goes on.

Its an auto which is a first for me and is taking some getting used to. And there is noticable wind noise at the driver's window so trip back to the dealer soon I reckon.

Thanks! I'm teaching myself photography so expect random posts of car photos of varying quality....
