Green stuff on hood

I have noticed a thin layer of green stuff on my roof down in the gap where the roof pillar joins the wing.
This is probably due to the number of trees around my house, before I attack it with a toothbrush and some roof cleaner has anyone else had this?
If so how did you remove it?

Thanks

Its normal , its just mould , thats why its important to keep the fabric roof cleaned / treated to help prevent this, its a normal process due to lots of rain and as you say tree's close by. When you clean it (toothbrush is good i always carry one ,good for removing bird sh***t ) lower the roof a bit then you can clean the area thats not normally visible, hope this helps :driving:

Use the proper BMW cleaner or Ragtopp 2 part kit.

When you say 'attack' and mention toothbrush I caution care. It's a delicate fabric top.

Once removed you want to clean out the underneath of the rubber as you'll likely find it slimy. I also suggest lowering the roof often to keep that area dry.

Thanks for your advice guys , much appreciated.

Will be looking at this
Tomorrow if the weather holds!
