Band of Brothers is epic stuff .
much more real world than" Saving Private Ryan "
if any of you are thinking of visiting the landing beaches all i can say is DO IT ! i went there all blase but man did i get the shivers .
been back a few times since & always a moving experience :wink:

agree with this, been twice and still don't know how my dad got off the beach he was on landing craft and I think they got beached

Good choice - I rather liked Cheers with Shelley Long - a sort of blond Jan Francis :)
 
My two favourite series by a country mile (and I did a few of those on Sunday) are

Porridge
and
It ain't half hot Mum!

Have them both on DVD and watch them weekly - BRILLIANT! :rofl:

It has to be this, longest running series of any mentioned.

Also need to add anything by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. Starting with Twizzle :thumbsup: which sadly I do remember watching on TV (well I think I do anyway :oops: ). And the series that ruined my maths A level - UFO. 11:00pm Monday night just before double Pure maths.
