Grass needs cut...

The Legend
 Exiled Scot in Maidstone
Boll*cks :headbang: One of the only things I hate about spring/summer is cutting the grass. Especially as it starts growing so early in Kent compared to Scotland :x This year it also means that it will cut into (no pun intended...) my new hobby of washing and driving my car

Anyone else hate cutting the grass ? Or are there other things you dislike about summer ?

That's okay, just think, in a few years you can pay your son to do it

Good point sars ! Thinking about it, I am still eligible for slave labour right now so I can get him to do it for nothing - genius

I've been using the "got to wait until the frosts have gone" excuse for the last 2 weeks. Its still growing slowly at the moment...... I think. Been watching it

started cutting ours about 3 weeks ago - have to say though the smell of the grass after the first cut , with the promise of spring coming , is nice. Can't stand gardening generally though - a garden is for sitting in not working at!! .Fortunately I'm not allowed to touch anything other than mowing and hedge cutting - she who must be obeyed looks after the rest.

The first of my neighbours started yesterday. Let's just say there was collective animosity towards them...

Did mine yesterday. It does look good with the stripes. Small consolation.and the cuttings go in the compost for the veg garden.Nearly obsessed with the garden as much as the Z.

gov, agree on the smell, and now my wife has learned to garden (not much call for green fingers in a KL apartment block where she grew up), I don't have to do too much else.

The damn stuff needs cut once a week here Ridgydidge - and it is not quite big enough to justify 'help' ... Not at my age anyway :D

I also hate wasps. My son found a Queen flying around in the bathroom al,ost 2 weeks ago, which is very early. Must have been wintering somewhere behind the cistern

Needs less to say it was terminated with extreme prejudice :violent1:

I'm back on the garden this weekend, damn Kent.

I hope to be flattening the front garden later this year for a driveway

The only reason I want to keep the back nice is for the BBQ's!

Get yourself one of these:

More driving fun!

I wonder if it was only the coupé owners that were mowing the lawn yesterday, as to be perfectly honest I was out :driving: with the top down in a balmy 17C....

.......mowed the lawn on Saturday, female efficiency you see

I have to do the yard and garden weekly ATM. The most painfully part of my weekend with 38 degree plus temps and 90% + humidity all summer.

Only get to put the top down when it's overcast or raining

No mowing for me yesterday - I was doing the same, and everywhere I have driven today :driving:

Lovely jubbly

If we ever move house again into a new property I'm getting this stuff: http://www.artificialgrass4u.co.uk/Gallery.html. Cutting the grass sucks.

Thats an old pic guys, I was out at Ultimate Dubs yesterday for my last show in the Scirocco most likely

Jealous - garden is no way big enough to justify the expense

Ours was 170 foot to begin with, its only about 110 now but still enough to keep me busy for an hour and a half..
