That was a water tower on the A355 from Beaconsfield to Amersham. They didn't refit the tower within the time the programme was filmed, simply built an eco-friendly building that was semi-underground and covered with turf! They had great plans for the tower but I don't think they achieved much...

There was another smaller water tower project in Kent that built a house within a box on legs that was much less impressive a building to begin with but at least they finished it!

IIRC they went back to the Amersham tower a few years later, and the towers had been refitted? Wasn't there also one in London (more of a square structure)?

I didn't see the Kennington programme, but I know the tower itself - I'll look at it more closely next time I'm in the area.
