I hope you have much better luck than I’m having with it all at the moment, mines gone tits up and I’m a first time buyer![]()
It looks like its slowly coming together. The solicitors asked me if it would be ok to continue without a copy of the leasehold as apparently it couldn’t be found anywhere (I’m buying a flat). Then I noticed the annual maintanence charge went up 70% from listed in the contract. They’ve needed a few nudges along the way just to move things forward tooSmartbear said:Sorry to hear that, is it salvageable?

As long as you extended an existing lease and not purchased a new 100 year one ?Smartbear said:firebobby said:Silverzedtom said:It looks like its slowly coming together. I extended the lease on my flat but needed to buy out the leaseholder with a collective enfranchisement, once that happened it’s pretty cheap to extend the lease to a thousand years so it’s never an issue again![]()
