GPS antenna replacement

Does anybody have any first hand experience with a replacement GPS antenna?
I purchased one from Amazon which judging by a review had been successfully fitted to a Z4, but on mine it will not pick up any satellites at all.
I use my phone for sat nav, but do like having everything functioning as it should.

There are a number of genuine used ones on eBay (all in the USA so shipping is 3x the actual item cost) so just hoping to find something a little closer to home if possible.

From memory you can pick up one on eBay for around a tenner, just are sure it has the correct connection, so worth picking up another to to check.

Definitely the correct connector (SMB female).
Took it for a longer drive this morning just in case it needed some movement and a bit more time to fully sync… but no joy.

Will just go for a secondhand original off eBay and see how long it lasts.
