Gotta love a scotch egg...

Breaking news, seems a previously unknown gov minister has a vested interest in them ,

"Drinkers in tier two areas of England could order a Scotch egg with their pint to keep in line with post-lockdown rules, a cabinet minister has said".

Not sure it's the substantial meal anticipated but look out for updated menus from those more enterprising publicans!!

If it's a 'session' your after you will of course need to order a second scotch egg and so on...

Maybe the minister was thinking of the fantastic ones you can get at one of Heston's pub, the Hinds Head in Bray, where somehow they make them with a runny yolk - scrummy! :D

Because they probably cost around the same as a substantial meal in most other pubs.

Go for it mate! At the end of the day it’s egg and sausage meat, so even if you don’t get it right it’s still very much edible!

It's well worth a visit for a special occasion.

I only discovered it in the early 2000s when I had a proper job, and we went there a few times on expenses.

But I took Mrs Tidy a couple of times before we parted, and then took my sister there for her 60th because she likes that sort of thing!
