Are you like me - thrifty - or as I'm described by her who should be obeyed - a cheapskate !

Thomson are on my favorites so I can keep track of the prices and guess when I think they are the lowest - getting quite a dab hand at this over the years. Always feel better , especially this time of the year when I've got our main summer holiday booked. We love the Greek Islands and discovered Thassos about 10 years ago and have been going ever since. Unfortunately Thomson have a monopoly on the flights so you have to use them but believe me it's like paradise when you get there. Just booked for two weeks end of June / beginning of July .

Ooooh holidays!!
We've not booked but looking at either Thailand, drive down to Lake Garda, Northern Lights/Norway, Cuba (again).
We keep an eye on Thomas cook as well as Thomson as we got a good deal for Cuba last year.

Only ever been to Rhodes island but really loved it apart from the rip off cost of stuff there.

We're going to our friends Villa in Mougins, South of France, taking Swmbo's mum, dad, brother and his family In August

Spent the last decade generally renting villas in Andalusia as a main holiday and finally taken the plunge and purchased place in the hills near Marbella. Price crash and euro rate finalised the decision.

First trip Feb as the shipped out furniture and contents we're shipping arrive.

That's me set for 2013 onwards :)

Prague in March (4 days) - proper tourist
Suffolk in May (8 days) - bikes and boots
Greece in September (14 days) - sun, sea and something else!

Odd days and weekends here and there (some very odd!)

Off to Albright Hussey Manor Hotel for New Year bash later today. http://www.albrighthussey.co.uk/

Taking the Zed which has been freshly laundered for the trip...... :D

Not into traditional fight for your sunbed holidays or sightseeing plus i detest the whole airport thing.( not scared of flying)
Holidays for me mean time away from commuting & day to day duties so for last 10 years ive spent most of my free time in france renovating houses while mrs w took package hols with daughter
Although next year we have booked a village house in south of france ( near Beziers) for 2 weeks in june . 30 years together so just myself & mrs w + terrier so looking forward to that . Shame its not in the Z .

Know what you mean about Rhodes- prices on Thassos are considerably cheaper than the well known Islands - the Greeks themselves holiday there and there is no airport ( you take a short ferry trip from mainland Greece to get there )

We have booked a two week cruise in the Med.It is our first time on a cruise ,I think it is a sure sign of getting old
It is not a saga cruise :D It is a celebrity cruise ,on talking with others they are supposedto be quite good.

Thassos superb. Been there the last 2 years and some of the best greek food and hospitality I've experienced.
Limenaria was perfect for a week on the beach and amazing, authentic greek food.
Thassos Town last september just as good though slightly different.
Would recommend the 4x4 safari into the centre of the island, great day out.

Not in the Zed then :D

No Stuart!!

I drove there a couple of years ago in the D3 with my family then picked up my mum, one of my brothers and his wife from Nice airport, that was a good trip :driving:

We're flying and renting vehicles this time :D

Usually spend holls at my place at Coniston in the lake's (and Chrimbo) however next year I'm thinking of flying to Mars and then onto Pluto just for a change.

agree with all you say - we stay at Scala Potamia - found it by accident when we first went there years ago - we were mad enough to hire a scooter and having gone up that massive hill outside Thassos Town and down the other side dropped into the small bay at Scala Potamia . Had four days driving around the Island on the scooter wearing only swimmers and flipflops until the inevitable happened - we fell off !! Not serious thank god but ended up with grazes etc - my wife refuses pointblank to rent another scooter !! The funny part was when we arrived back at our hotel the rep had just started her talk on the dangers of hiring scooters/motorbikes

2013 is going to be a pretty good one for holidays. One week in Ocho Rios, Jamaica booked for January 5th. Then traveling across Austria for two weeks in late May. Last one will kost likely be one week in Guadeloupe or Aruba in October.

Orlando or New York please!!!!

Went to Orlando in Sept but flew Virgin Upper Class. Can't afford to go this year ...cost of the flight upgrades alone would've paid for another holiday! Stupid I am!!!

I would rather pay for a better destination, than for the best seats on the bus ....
