If it's for practical, race, purposes - fine. But if it's just too 'look different', I vote no. Looks like a bad case of botched cosmetic surgery on an otherwise beautiful lady. (but I'm sure others will love it!

Lets reserve judgement until it's finished. I'm curious as to how this will turn out. It's definitely going to be a marmite car...

+1, the bumper isn't my taste BUT it might look good all pulled together

If you're going for the full custom kit job, it would be great to see normal grills grafted into that bumper..... it would look really good

Worried about your code name.... Marmite ? Half will love, the others will hate :cpilot:

Applaud the courage of your efforts bradmarsh 8)
,Im looking forward to the finished article with an open mind  only after ive seen it will we know if its destined for Barryboys SoTY :P
Lets hope its better than the 2009 winner http://www.barryboys.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=32749

oooo 3 spoke aloys .... tastefull.

although i dont like the stretched out tyre and im reserving judgment on the body kit lets see it on first. this isnt some max power bolt on exercise from the the sounds of it.

For everyone's reference, this isn't a 'Wide arch kit' in the sense that im buying some ebay wide arches and bolting them on for an additional 300bhp... this is a complete ground up custom kit based off of around 3 months work of concept art and computer re-styling. What appeals to me is the fact that no one in their right mind should attempt a kit this mental on a car as tastefully perfect as a stock z4... that's honestly why i'm doing it, because I shouldn't!

+1 3D concept pics sound interesting :-)

Haha! Oh Nooooow you're all interested? It's all very hush hush right now, so for the time being my concepts will be staying close to me. As stated in a previous comment I will make a dedicated thread for this at some point. Once the kit is finished and we are happy with the final result, if you all love it or hate it we'll be considering producing a mould for the kit for the potential of maybe selling a few retail at a later stage, though this is unlikely to go ahead unless it gets a huge amount of interest to do so as it's not exactly commercially viable at this stage. But now i'm just going off on a tangent now. :|

I like the idea, it will be a purely "show car" for the tuning scene.

Anyway, excessively wide rear wheels would mean Understeer City. :play:

Absolutely correct. Deadline for completed build is July 21st... unveiled at Modified Mania near Devon... come along if anyone is nearby? Then it's onwards to the national shows in Manchester which will form part of a contract with the sponsors who are supplying some of the parts.
