Got my new Z4!

Hello! I'm Jim. I'm 24 & from the UK.

My week started off on a high note as I acquired my new (not new new, 2019) Z4 30i. It has all the tech I wanted and it sounds/looks amazing, it's San Fran red, with the tech pack, comfort pro pack and M pro pack (Pictures below). Most of the time after I get a new car I always have a stage of regret where I see I inevitably see a car I wish I bought instead, but I haven't had that with this car.

I never planned on getting a Z4, my initial plan was to get an A35 or an M135i. But, while I was looking at A35s in one of those fancy high spec car showrooms, I came across a black Z4 20i, which was around a similar price to the A35 and had all the tech I wanted. Fortunately, the dealership wasn't able to make a deal with me but I ended up finding a 30i for a similar price this Monday and it got delivered on the same day.

I am readying myself for the hairdresser car & mid-life crisis comments from my mates :D But, I don't think I'll be that bothered, as I'm having so much fun with the car and it truly is a joy to drive. (Plus, I think it's probably a better time to purchase one now before/if a 2-seater car becomes less practical)

You are 24 and your friends are going to call you on a "midlife crisis"? :o
Man, go get yourself a pretty girlfriend, drop that top down and drive by each one of your friends' homes. Laugh at their mid-life crisis comments.
(Gorgeous car. I will wait for pictures of the GF  )

Hello and welcome, cool car for 24 yrs young. Unless you’ve got kids why would you want an A35 over a Z4 :idunno:

As for your other fear, it’s cool to be gay, yet it’s still considered an insult to be a hairdresser, could you imagine there not being any hairdressers, think first lockdown only permanent :poke:

I’m 68 yrs old and some of my older neighbours smirk at me in my z4, who cares, not me. Kids have left and our dear old GSD has passed away so we don’t need a big boring suv type anymore. Nor do you, at your age I drove around in sprites, midgets and mgb, still have fond memories of these cars. So will you when you’re my age. Enjoy your fab looking car for as long as you can.

Welcome to the Forum. Nice looking Z4. I hope you got the scissors, products and hair net pack. :hairdryer: :driving: :hairdryer:

OP welcome. I think you now may well be the youngest on here (most of the rest of us are ancient).

Wow, that looks strikingly similar to mine, besides the interior.

https://imgur.com/a/4uNgh1c The San Fran red works so well with those alloys.

That reminds me, you still haven’t paid me for that style and blue rinse you got last week. :D

Hi and welcome to the forum Jim.

You're right mid 20s is probably a good time in life to buy a 2 seater, but it's way too early to call it a mid-life crisis!

Like many on here I didn't get around to Z4 ownership until my mid-50s and I wish I had done it sooner.

I though the words blow and job were going to appear somewhere in that payment request :poke:

Great car Jim - photos look amazing! I do really like the SFR but I had a Red E89 so fancied a change to blue this time.

For comparison my whip at 24 was a 6 year old original Mini Clubman (bit of a difference!) !!

If I wanted to be raped by a Scotsman, I would just visit an Arnold Clark dealership!
