Got my mates Z4MR for the day...

My mate has let me borrow his ///M for the day. Im taking it into the local paint garage to get a quote for repairing a damaged cill when some clown decided to run into him on a roundabout..

All I can say is that there now appears to be alot of appointements and meetings *cough cough* around Doncaster that have for some reason appeared in my diary for today..... Weird that !!

I think the test of true friendship was when he let me take it round the handling circuit at Santa Pod last weekend lol. There must be nothing more nerve racking than watching your mate go sideways round some cones in your beloved motor.

He drove mine quite alot before he got his anyway so I think its only fair, don't you? :wink:

So do tell dude..Hows it feel compared to the 3.0SE.. i've been thinking of making the jump.But even decent Z4M's with atleast the same spec at my 2003 SE are gonna cost me 7-8k on top atleast!..That's alot of cash

Don't get me wrong I love my car to bits and I thought it was quick until I had a full day with this. What I love about it is that its as easy to drive slowly as it is quickly and I was getting nearly 25mpg. Im only getting nearly 28mpg with mine!! Just took some getting used to the clutch. It seems very eager and it's very easy to start kangarooing from a standstill "not that I did that. Noooo!!" I think this is a known problem though with the CDV from reading posts on here!

In essence, I wish I had the seven grand or so lying around so I could do the upgrade..

humm i know mate,I've virtually gotta sell my car and double my money to get one.. And pondering really is it double the car? Its looks "ruffly" the same...humm..

Hows was the low down grunt? Sub 3k shifting say?Do you have to rev the bollox out of it? (same as many E46 m3's i've driven).I know it's not going to be but i'm just hoping for some magical reason it is lol.It's the only reason prefer my 3.0 besides the price

I know what youre saying, Im unsure whether its worth the extra cash especially the xtra running costs such as servicing, insurance and road tax etc. It just feels and sounds amazing though!!

Sub 3K shifting doesnt feel any quicker than ours really and Its more difficult to drive smoothly but I guess thats just down to me not knowing how to drive it properly yet lol.

You might have done was it my car or the M? I've not had my plate shortened, just standard plates on it mate. Where abouts were you? you should have given me a beep or something
