You're not a sports fan then ... Radio Five Live on 909 and 693 AM! :)

All my sport is live - if I ain't participating I ain't interested. My only exception to the rule being F1 where I will watch it on the TV

Not so sure about that last bit. Your MFSW writeup seems to imply a bit of F1 practise

Giving away my secrets. Aside wasting my time on forums I hold a powerboat licence, have driven many open wheel racing cars (low powered by F1 stradards) used to rally drive and am a half decent off road driver at various competitive disciplines. Try to do a few different things

you can get them here: Mangowalk

thats a good price, i got one of ebay shipped from hongkong cost £25 all in!

you've got to wonder why they didn't just build the ariel into the windscreen and keep body lines nice and clean. Cost cutting or a lazy after throught?

There is also a FM anenna in the rear bumper, but there is obviously a reason why they added the rear external one.

Ordered mine on the 31st Jan, Got the shipping notification on the 4th Feb and it arrived yesterday (14th Feb) :)

Now if only I had the car to put it on.... dealer still has it :(

So if I get one, how bad is AM reception? There is a program I enjoy when I'm in the car between 12-3pm. And yes, I'd rather hear my show than have the stubby.

Does anyone know of anywhere else other than Ebay to get these? Due to massive problems I had with ebay in the past I cannot use the site anymore :(

I purchased the 3.5" Stubby Antenna I Series from carcessory.com for $7.99 plus S&H last Friday and it arrived today (1 week delivery time). I will post pics once installed and will also provide an update as to the reception quality. Here's the link: http://carccessory.com/detail2I.asp?key=Stubby_Short_Antenna_I

I have not noticed a loss in reception in either FM or AM stations. The antenna gives/bends a little if pushed or pulled, but probably not as much as the Mangowalk Stubby. Hopefully my clothing will not get caught on the antenna. Here's a picture...

The Mangowalk rubber one does look better imo. It's the same colour/material as the base, and looks like it came out of the factory fitted. Tried to find a good picture to compare, there are plenty on here somewhere but hey...

You're right. The Mangowalk looks better. I wasn't able to buy it from ebay for some reason so I bought this instead.

anyone tried just removing the external AM antenna altogether... puttying over the hole and repainting the panel? would this throw any codes or cause any fault lights to appear?

I can't see it would affect anything )aside AM reception. I'm always wary of filling such holes as they always reappear after weeks or months, as the filler changes shape over time.

Agree you see it so many times at shows where cars have had antennas and washer jets removed and filled and it has sunk maybe if you lead fill it would be better but whatever you try hope it works would look so much better
