TBH its fast enough at the moment, i have looked into a JB4 box (cheap but good reviews) and a Evolve (expensive but again good reviews)

No idea what an ESS is.......off to google :oops:

Yep its great stuff, recently found out with a second coat it really lasts well!

I only hope my current Hex-Logic pads (Orange and white) and Menzerna 203S and PO85RE5 are able to make an impact on hard BMW paint :!:
 
JB4 et al are boxes you wire in to fool the ECU and remap it. I'm not interested in fecking around with wires an all that, too much chance of buggering something up, so a straight ESS tune via their little ODB unit will be just fine. Fully reversible, no chance of damage, unlike the JB4. You get what you pay for. ESS comes in around £650... still great value for nearly 100 BHP.

Ooo never looked at how you install the jb4, sod that for a game of soliders! Only remap unit I've had experience with was a bluefin unit on my 2.5 mondeo, that made a real difference and liked it coz I could remove it if it had to go into the dealers for anything

Do it fold up and down, and is it automatic? i.e. when does it activate.

Sorry to hijack, but yes, as standard it rotates out of the dash on key insertion and folds back when you remove your key. You can also raise/lower via the idrive settings, and also place a shortcut on the radio function keys to do the same (which I've done).

In the US at least it only comes or came in that combo, you couldn't have that paint without the design interior...
