well i did not know posting about races was that frowned upon, i shall not post anymore, just thorght it was part of the fun seeing how well the 3.0 compares to other cars.

please bear in mind, that these blasts are very late at night on an a road with no built up traffic or pedestrians around, i never speed in built up areas etc, im not that crazy.

but i get your point.

coaldust, it's not a criticism of what you're doing - but as a forum, it's not good publicity for members to discuss races on public roads.

Re the 3.0i - it's a cracking motor. Not sure about the supercar comments though. I've owned a 3.0i and M Z4s. Personally I wouldn't class either as supercar performance. Pretty quick, yes!

Glad you're enjoying your zed (that's pretty clear!), they are cracking cars....

Pulled up to the lights today and the new P1 pulled up beside me. We both nailed it and it was neck and neck for a while but he lost his bottle at 185mph.!!!!
I was on a roll so I just pushed my Z to the limit and managed just a nudge under 250mph

i commute up the a10 very late at night, and these are what im talking about, when im driving during the day in built up areas, london, etc, i rarely go above 30-40 mph and allways keep at a speed that if i need to brake for a kid cyclist pedestrian etc i could do so, please dont confuse me with someone who is putting lives at risk.

when i post about my blasts, the only people going to a&e would be me or the other racer.

but as i say i shall refrain from posting any more blasts.

Heeheee , , a good read for a sunday & have to say i didn,t find my 3.0 straight 6 an animal but then i rarely flogged it from any lights
Just go easy mr Cd , you may not be used to the increase in power from the FWD TT & you don,t want to wrap it up before the chance to get the roof down

Like Coaldust I use the a10 a lot living in Enfield that is. I must admit it is full of people who want to race and yes it's normally late at night but normally find it's kids in corsa's lol!! I usually just smile and wave!! If it makes them happy, telling there mates in Mc Donald's car park they've just blown a z4 off the lights. I know I don't lose any sleep over it. Also find guys in x5 and the like always seem to have to have ago. Work that one out!!!!!

I just had a guy in a shitty old 200sx undertake me on a 1 lane slip road onto the A13. He obviously had something to prove, probably that his 20 year old piece of s**t doesn't break down.

I just let him get on with it and carried on my journey at a leisurely 65.
