Got car today

And to think, if I'd actually gone to see the Sepang Bronze one that was available in November rather than buying the Ruby Black one, I could have saved myself £5k and not been pee'd off when I actually saw one in person and quite liked the colour :headbang:
Absolutely, if you could have lived with the spec then the colour would have been no problem at all. Not sure how it would have looked on an excessively bright day (luckily we don't get them!), but on an overcast day where the colour was darkened down a little, then awesome :sweetheart:

Regarding spec, its strange how we all see things differently.
Coming from TVR's ,Lotus,Maserati etc i find a 'standard' M car quite well equipped.
Dont get me wrong,i love a gadget or two..indeed the M3 i had was absolutely loaded but i think in a two seat weekend car im quite happy with heated seats and air-con/climate.

The fun is in the looks and of course the driving.

Nice colour

Yeah, options are a big deal in BMW world; I've never had a car with so much stuff crammed in to it. If I could spec mine again I'd go for extended leather, heated seats, mp3 input, boggo stereo and steering wheel controls. The Sat Nav isn’t very good and the DSP hifi is a waste of money imo

M cars better with less options in my opinion to keep weight down. I don`t know why someone would want heated seats in a Coupe unless in a very cold climate, extended leather good though and sun protection glass the only options I`d spec up. I liked the Sepang car for having less extras

I agree, cant see me using the seat warmers much.
As for the sun protection glass,i like the look of it but one mate did ask me why only the back of the car was tinted. So mixed opinions i suppose.

I'm guessing you guys haven't got heated seats then :)

The leathers seats in my car are cold for at least 6 months of the year when I first get in, certainly in the morning.

it's a nice option to have imo

It's interesting that BMW see their performance sports car as needing a luxury spec. Says alot about the sort of people who buy these cars new/nearly new. BMW believe most customers want power, handling and comfort and toys!
Would many of us have bought a CSL version with airbox, lightweight seats, alloys, manual hood, etc etc loosing 75kgs from the weight and giving 360 BHP but costing another £5-£10k ?

Now if they had and as a used buy for £25K now I guess there'd be a queue down the street and I'd be near the front :)
