Got called a w*nker today!

Hello, what's going on here then!?
To be fair who actually looks for side roads to the right when overtaking on country roads, I don't!? And if there wasn't a van there when Cazza pulled out to overtake what was she supposed to do?
On this occasion (and I won't make a habit of it) the gobs1te's done nothing wrong IMO.
If you come to a T junction and only look right before you pull out then you need to go back to driving school!

....I still think your son was to blame on his crash though :poke:

Did you overtake in 2nd or 3rd Carol?

2nd would've sounded ace! :driving:  x

It sounds ace all the time Daz!

:D

I know, but in 2nd and the Rev counter wrapped far right the WVM would've heard you and been more vigilant, probably dropping his phone on his lap and spilling his coffee though, he should've given you the thumbs up for making him aware you were approaching :D :driving:

Wow this thread has really taken off. I'm on Carol's side here, sounds like she was miles away from the junction (although, that isn't clear from the OP which is where I think a lot of the blame aimed at Carol is stemming from)

Van driver should have looked left and shouldn't have called Carol a w***er (seems very unnecessary...and I'd guess is more aimed at the yellow porsche than driving ability  ).

That said, I very rarely look left when turning left out of a junction, I guess I should make a habit of it now. I wonder how many people on here actually do look both ways if turning left out of a junction?

I've had a few occassions where I've overtaken / attempted to overtake near a junction and a car has emerged at the last minute, a few lucky escapes and I knew I was at fault (not relevant here though :D )

A proper response in this thread for a change!

Overtaking near a junction you are always going to be taking that risk. I wouldn't say it's the vans driver, you are the "w*nker" on this occassion
