 a barn in Somerset
Hi, thought it was time to check my drains again but instead of crawling around on the floor to check the drain exit pipes I fed a small hose down the side of the roof & poured a litre or so of water through it.
If it pours freely underneath the car then you have clear drains, if it stays dry underneath or only seeps out you have an issue & need to crawl around!

(Checking diligently underneath the car before the whole litre had been decanted of course) :P

Just watched a YouTube video on cleaning these drains. It shows a rubber valve type thing which he pulls off to sort the cleaning. Is this rubber valve needed? Looks like it will only restrict dirt and stuff from exiting the drain?
