Had a coolant leak last summer which turned out to be a crack in the expansion tank. This time I noticed a damp patch on the middle of the undertray. When I removed it, I noticed coolant residue around the waterpump, but then noticed it above this, just below the thermostat housing.
Is it possible that it's just the gasket thats failed? It's only a small leak and there is no whirring noise thats associated with a failed waterpump.
here's a video i managed to do today, after running the car so it was warm. i'm a little worried it's coming from around the gasket (is this possible?), but it also looks like it's coming from the thermostat also.
