Hi guys looking into investing in a gopro as have a few trips planned with the z4 this summer. Just wondered if anybody has one or has any experience of them.
 
They are great little cameras, but make sure you read the instructions on setting the resolution, also think about buying a separate mic

I've used mine quite a number of times for Euro roadtrips and they are great for capturing your hoons

Also shows coupe drivers what they are really missing with the roof down driving experience :driving:

I used to have the hero 3 black edition for the occasional Pistonhead runs.

Personally for the money, they are overpriced! (£300 alone excluding suction cup etc)

I have a few youtube video clips which have good video clarity and sound. Battery doesn't last long enough on the 1080 setting so you tend to use 720 more often. Also, youl need a back up memory card..64gb I'd say to have a decent 3-4 hours worth of hooning :driving:

Theres plenty of other brands out there that are worth a try.

I dropped mine, smashed the lens, thankfully I had gadget warrenty which paid me the price I paid in full.

Looked at the Hero 3 Black (iphone contollable?). Seemed good but what are the other options out there?
 
I got a hero 2
Possibly gonna up date to the 3 black this year

But I dont think its over priced for what it is.

Mines been on a few drives, snowboarding in the alps twice and surfing in the sea countless times

The batteries do run out quick, espically in the sea or cold but on ebay you can get a charger and 3 additional batterys for under £15

32gb cards are cheap now days too

So for an extra 30 quid you can get enough battery life for a whole day and enough memory for a week or so

We even use ours as a point and shoot while on holiday, instead of lugging the dslr about places it might get wet or dropped. rowing boat trip, beach etc

GoPro3 is on my list for this year as well, looks fantastic.

I'm thinking of getting the GoPro HERO3+ Silver.

Anyone got one of these?

It's about £100 cheaper than the Black edition.
