I Downloaded Google Chrome browser over the weekend, and I am impressed, it is seems so quick compared to windows explorer  maybe because it isnt cluttered too much, but whatever, so far so good, anyone else tried it yet?

Been using it since they launched - not noticed any significant problems

Impressive effort being as no one knew they were working on it!

And yes it is faster than the others :)

I've been using it for the last month or so. I'm impressed so far and no problems once I got the hang of it.

It does seem a little faster than other browsers, including firefox. Where firefox wins hands down is the amount of plugins available for it. If you don't use plugins then chrome is really nice.

Im sure plugins and the like will come along soon enough. It is still in Beta, and the based on some of the same coding. Read today that some of the original Firefox developers have been working on Chrome

Err, not sure about that.. Chrome is based on Webkit, the same standard used in Safari. Firefox is Mozilla based so actually quite different. You may be correct on the dev's though. (in fact I may be completely wrong and you are right on all of it :D )

One thing I have noticed is that my daughter's MySpace looks different on Firefox than it does on IE. Are my settings off?

I've been using it for a few days and the first thing I notice is just how quick it is. Perhaps due to its multi thread nature and lots of other things I don't understand.

Seems better than IE8 that gives me real display problems on some sites and has to be put into compatibility mode.

Best of all, however, is that Chrome is open source; so from its launch yesterday web developers and engineers all over the world can access Chrome's code, enabling them to build improvements around it.

Speed is down to a number of things including a new JavaScript engine :D

All browsers render pages slightly differently, IE has been known to not conform as strictly to web standards as others...

Anything that takes market share away from IE is good... unfortunately I think it will take more off Firefox than it will IE, as it'll be the geeks more inclines to try it. Still, it's a good start

sp3ctre Any idea why this is? I mean the wallpaper isn't there on Firefox vs IE etc?

Without seeing the page I can't say, but there seems to be issues with myspace customisations and firefox.

Wow, those peeps on that thread have no respect for the designers of MySpace or IE for that matter. Thanks, it is good to know it is them and not me. 8)
