This may be of use to anyone considering new 18'' tyres. Formula 1 Autocentres have Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 225/40/18 for £89 each fully fitted and 255/35/18 for £137 each. £452 for all four seemed great value. https://www.f1autocentres.co.uk/tyre-results.php

That is an amazing price, i paid £490 fitted in december and back then noone could get anywhere near that price.

I just bought all four for £398.87 delivered.

I will still have to get them fitted locally so will probably end up only slightly below the £452 above but just for info:

I got the fronts from Camskill for £168.88 incl. delivery

The rears I got from ava-tyres on Ebay for £229.99 incl. delivery

I paid just over £500 at Stafford Tyre in December 2013 and they were by far the cheapest...

Seems very good and the tyres have served me well so far!

I think I could have got Uniroyal Rainsport 3 for only £323 for all four from Camskill.
Reviews sounded like a very good tyre in terms of grip but a repeated theme seemed to be very high wear characteristics?

£120 at lovetyres - http://lovetyres.com/tyre/Goodyear-Eagle-F1-Asymmetric-2/255-35-18

Prices have come down quite a bit in the last few years, I remember paying £170ish 3 years ago for rear tyres but they were <£130 last year - maybe because the tyre sizes on mass-market cars are increasing?

Thats a good price as I'm currently after a rear set for when spring finally arrives :D

Just used the link for F1 and credit card was under attack from some sort of fraud. Card now cancelled by bank.

Or currently a set of Vredesteins from Jungle tyres are £386 delivered for the 225 40 / 255 35 18inch

Which "model" of Vredesteins are we talking?I am in need of a full new set and this sounds like the amount of money I was looking to spend.

Edit: Just seen you are talking about the "ultrac vorti". What is the general consensus on this tyre? Seemed to get a half decent review here: http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/accessories-tyres/66057/vredestein-ultrac-vorti

EDIT2: Just found them even cheaper from camskill! £378.86 delivered. (If we are talking about Vortis)

Vorti is the upgrade from the sessanta. Tyre pattern isn't as internet approved but is supposed to be much better than it's predecessor.
