swapped out the god awful and past their best Bridgestone run flats today for a full set of Goodyear Eagle f3's........holy cow, what a difference :)
don't get me wrong, with the M sport suspension its still on the ahem 'firm' side, but sooo much better.
Roads were a bit slick to test grip potential, and obviously they still need to be run in, but comfort and noise has definitely improved, I dont feel as though every cats eye is breaking my spine anymore
Only down side, apart from the large gap in my bank balance, the fitter noticed the rear bush on the front lower arms is worn :x can I change this bush on its own, or have I got to swap out the whole arm?

Bush can be changed. I've got some poly ones to fit to mine when I get a chance.

It sounds like they're referring to your front wishbone rear bush aka lollipops. Yes you can replace this on its own. Usually comes as the entire lollipop, with the bush already pressed inside the metal casing.

Why is it called a lollipop? I guess it's because it looks like one. I never actually checked to see if that's the answer though

cheers yep they’re the ones, good to know they can be swapped out. Do I need a puller to get them off?

I have just fitted the Goodyear`s on my E89, and like you ,,, wow

I see you are a fellow guitar player :)

I put F1's on the rear of mine last week, and full geo setup done, what a huge difference! drives so nice now and less road noise but my Bridgestones were shot though, I will never buy bridgestones again, 6k miles is terrible. I hope the F1's will last twice that.
