Goodyear Asymmetric 6. First 400 miles on 35iS.
18 225/40W & 18 255/35Y. 36psi & 44psi.
On A, B & M roads. Dry & wet. Low temperatures.
Light, accurate, stable & brake well.
So far, impressed.
(Previous 86k miles were on sets of Pirelli P Zero.)

Always had GY Asy.
I found the 3 to be best, on 5 now, was disappointed by those, shortly order 6.
I think the compound was a bit softer and quieter on the 3. Harder on the 5, perhaps to increase wear rate.
I remember digging my nail into rubber to compare.
The core once exposed made more noise on the 5's..

Replacing the lower tracking rod i find reduced noise at the front, tyres i think being square to the road.
Certainly now no scuffing when reverse turning.

Have just replaced Michelin PS4 with Asymmetric 6 on my Abarth. First thing I noticed was lighter steering and less road noise.

The sidewalls are much softer making for a better ride and less noise.

The soft sidewalls do negatively affect steering feel.

But the harder tyres could make front less stable as it can't flex to take up minor road surface deviations. Depends what you want.
Why new tyres feel so good.
Saw through non rft, side walls are about 5mm thick, rft are about 10mm thick.
No wonder rft's like running on cart wheels.

But most importantly, on a full or empty tank ?

:fuelfire:
Can't afford full tanks in the UK, so accept the reduction in car stability and performance.
Every day is a challenge.

Wait. Wasn’t Brexit supposed to stuff £££s in your pockets ? Bloody Farage.

I think I've done around 3,000 miles on mine, it's a better car (G29) on GoodYear Eagle A6 than on the factory fit MPSS's, really pleased with them

Well Goodyear tyres made in Europe not much more expensive than several years ago.
Just checked going to be £15 more expensive each than 6 years ago, so not bad considering the covid inflation.
We all know where the spare Gov. £££'s are going.

Got them on my e85 now and they have transformed the car. Rides better (wife doesn’t agree) handles better and doesn’t tramline as badly. Hardly surprising as the Avon’s that came off where 8.5 years old. Oops.
