Goodwood soft top sunday - 7th June

I'm aiming to be there about 7:30. I would meet you guys in Petworth but i've got to pick up a mate in Storrington!

So I'll see you guys there!

Thought we were heading across to meet with Ed and whoever else was at Petworth so it might work.

If not, am sure we'll all meet up at Goodwood!

Afternoon all,

Thanks Rick :P

The plan as far as I'm aware is for Wyldie, CoupeDan & His missus' dad, and possibly an e89 (4 zeds) will meet me at mine in Milford at 7am, and then convoy down to Petworth where we'll meet Rickrob, Roundozo & his mate in an R33 skyline and all then convoy onward to Goodwood, arriving at approximately 07:35am.

Trust I've included everyone in this, let me know if I've missed anyone!

Cheers

very few Z4 on circuit but one superb Alpina

The Alpina was me :D Thanks! Glad you liked it!

There was a silver ///M Roadster a few cars up from me on the track and a Sepang Bronze ///M Roadster in the paddock. Shame that one wasn't out on the track because that colour looks awesome in the sun.

Were you displaying your car or did you come in stealth mode? I would definitely go again, I thought it was a great way to spend a sunny Sunday even though I had to get up at 5.20am :driving:

Parked in Aero Club ,as I am a member
But have to say I loved your Alpina glad to see it is a Forum member
I live 2 miles away so wasn't too bad ,but Breakfast on old control Tower balcony was a bit refreshing as sun wasn't high enough at 0800

Got pictures of most Zed's. Still haven't got them off of the camera yet but I will at some point. lol.

The Alpina is a credit to you, chap. Superb looking car. Have to admit spotting it from miles off as I was on the look out to meet fellow members. Mine was in the plebs car park

I saw the very highly spec'd dark silver Z4M and the Sepang... amazed at how little the Sepang had in terms of options! It was absolutely immaculate and a credit to the owner, but no wind deflector, no cruise, no heated seats, no nav, no storage pack, no PDC...!! Surprised a colour like that came with nothing!

Didn't see any fellow members standing by their cars, so I just snapped some quick pics to post! :)

No fancy photos, as I was far too impatient to wait for the crowds to die down! lol

My Z4 & the old mans SLK side by side on the track.

Was really chuffed we got to park on the circuit next to each other! Especially after spending 8/9 hours detailing my car..

And all the lovely looking Zeds I saw...

Was a cracking day and a really fun drive! Looking forward to next year already! :driving:

TrickyTris you're not based around Windsor by any chance are you? Think I've passed you by the farm shop a couple of times. Great pics as well.. Lovely set of Zeds

Thanks very much JAD! :) Can't take all the credit though as I only bought it in February. The former keepers seem to have done a good job of looking after it and I'm doing my best to keep that up. Noticed a few swirl marks on the bonnet in the glorious sunshine though so must get to work on them this weekend...

Yes that Sepang Bronze one was lovely, would have loved to see it out in the sun. That's an individual colour isn't it? Perhaps the original owner blew all their cash on the individual paint and had none left over for any optional extras

The chap on the left closest to the car in the blue jeans looks a lot like the gentleman who I bought it from! I'm almost sure it's him, would be great if it was. It's on a different plate now and I added the Alpina decal but I'm sure he would recognise it.

Spotted your car as well, very nice!

I agree it was a great day and I wish they did it more often :poke:

Well we wandered round and saw all these Zed's....didn't see any owners with their cars though or any other Z4's.

One woman drove into the field car park in her phoenix yellow but there wasn't even a hint of a raised eyebrow when she passed us.

Good morning though and the weather was great. I have some stonking tan lines to prove it :D

Yep, that would be me! I work in Slough and often drive through Windsor/Old Windsor or Egham. Think I've seen you a few times as well - will have to give a flash or nod now I know you're a member here! :driving:

Haha! What are the odds! It's always nice to see a car you've let go still being treated well - though I'd imagine he was thinking more along the lines of "Why oh why did I sell it!?".

Hopefully someone with better photography skills will post some pics soon! My phone doesn't do justice to all these beauties..

@Wyldie85 - What time did you head to Goodwood? We would have been coming from the same direction - shame we didn't end up in convoy!

What a great day it was! Thanks TrickyTris for the shots - the one with the Le Mans stickers is mine.

Really enjoyed seeing the unique bronze and alpina Zeds.
