Goodwood pre Christmas meet ?

Rick (et al), I'm going to have to further disappoint - I'm so ashamed of my filthy coupe that I won't make our early morning rendezvous at Petworth. The road grime has altered the centre of gravity so substantially that I'm having to have my hair cut to compensate. That excuse sounds reasonable right?

Seriously though - I'm shattered and have a mental week next week - a slightly later start tomorrow is neccessary! Sorry for the short notice and see you later in the morning if you're about still!

Can someone pass this on to Rick at the rendezvous in Petworth if he doesn't check the forum before leaving tomorrow - I've managed to lose his phone number too - useless as I am!

Cheers!

Perfectly understandable reason - send my regards to your barber.

So the upshot of all this is that it's going to be me with the dirtiest car!

Yep, your car was definitely one of the most filthy there...
...luckily it'll be a dry afternoon so you can give it a bit of TLC

when i posted that mine was likely to be the dirtiest car, I meant out of mine, Roundozo's and Ed's (which based on history would have been quite an event! :poke:

As it turned out mine was the dirtiest out of ALL the cards there - oh the shame!

This pic of Roundozo's and mine is extremely flattering (to mine):

To start my long rehabilitation back to accepted Forum normality I took Perry's advice:

I'm guessing you guys were off by 11ish? We arrived but got directed to the overflow carpark just to the right of the main gates. Couldn't see any zeds by that time!

I was directed into that car park at 10 am as I was told it was full in the circuit but actually it was far ft it . We left at 11.30 . Mine was the White E89 with the roof down .

I arrived at 11am and was told to park to the left of the gates on the gravel car park near the toilets apart from Tony didn't see any Zeds either

Roundozo and I left at about 10:00, but we were there before 08:00.

We only saw 2 other Zeds - Perry's Red Alpina and a Silver grey one parked on the paddock area.

Was great day out just a shame there wasn't as much as big a turn out as last year. Numbers felt a bit low. Good to see you Rick and nice to meet you Perry.

You too, some impressive (and not-so-impressive) metal on display but the Porsche 918 Spyder stole the show - highlight was someone thinking I was the owner

I was only there about 90 mins but someone posted a 'spotted' photo on the Alpina forums :)

Thanks John - she does brush up well. I have done what I can to keep her properly cleaned and the previous owner obviously did also. Not bad for a daily drive with 98k on the clock!

It is rather ironic that I nag everyone else for pics of their's and seldom do likewise for mine.

Ordinarily I would be up for Brooklands on New Year's Day, but I have an even better offer - we will be in Barbados for Christmas and the New Year!

We need to create a rendesvous place and time at such meets, as a lot of Forum members attend these events, we see the cars but seldom meet the owners and it's not possible to get everyone to meet en route. I'll try to remember to suggest this when the first Goodwood Breakfast Club meet in 2016 happens.

Sorry to have missed you all - I was beyond fashionably late in the end. Probably for the best I didn't see you as I would definitely have won the dirtiest car award...!

Just been browsing the pistonheads thread and saw a few photo albums - Rick and Roundozo your zeds are there as is yours Perry!

Some nice machinery - wish I'd been able to clean mine up and make it early now!
