Anyone going?

I keep forgetting year on year.. this year i'm getting a ticket goddamn! I've never done FOS before, but i used to marshall at the Revival - so hopefully it's as good... (though i understand you don't get as much paddock access?)

Any past visitors got any tips? What day to go, what ticket type(s), what events to see, moving motorshow worth it?

Went last year....was ok but a long way to walk to get into everything and you couldn't get near some of the really good stuff. Some car clubs were there but the stands were either empty or they were all sat in their deck chairs eating sandwiches and reading the paper.

They had some of the classics doing laps and you could see them on a big screen but that was about it.

I am sure for the more expensive tickets it opens up a lot more but these were £££ insted of ££.

Don't think I'd bother again.

Went a few years ago and enjoyed it but very, very busy and you can't get close to a lot of stuff you want to see. I really enjoyed seeing and hearing the supercars coming out of the paddock and queuing next to you

Man, this is on my bucket list before I die along with the Isle of Man. But alas it will probably never happen.

Anyone going enjoy and have a pint for me.

By the sounds of it we're not missing much

Been a few times at the weekend but last year was just far too busy. Will try Friday this year.

It's an awesome event. Especially when the weather is good.

I have been a couple of times..
It is good but very busy. I have never struggled for access to any of the cars though.

Hotels are mega money if you want to stop over,we have stayed in Chichester twice and its a bit of a dump..

If you are more " oop north" try the cholmondley pageant of power at cholmondley castle..

A way more relaxed affair with some seriously nice metal on show..

10th of the price too ;)

I've been on the Saturday, we had great weather and it was a fab day. The downside of Saturday is that you tend to get the F1 test drivers rather than the big boys but when they've got their helmets on it makes no difference anyway ! Was a few years ago mind you and we were in the area on holiday. Paddock access was good and I've got some pics of my sons standing in the middle of 6 Veyron's which is more than a few quid's worth of metal...

It should be something any petrolhead should do at least once.

My concern with weekdays is i'd assumed bigger things would happen on the weekend?

The big names drivers and the air displays tend to be better on the weekend, but the selection of cars being run and the access tends to be just as good on the Friday.

We've not been for a couple of years so are looking forward to the event this year.

The wife had tickets through a ok contact karst year. But we where away so could go :headbang:

I have been asking about this year as I would love to go. Fingers crossed she will get them again and we will be wined and dinned

VIP at revival is great - gets you in the paddock :) If you ask really nicely, the best view is from the paddock girls' caravan..
