well today i sold my pride and joy! it almost broke my heart! ive decided to go for something completely different and i hope a few of you can appreciate my choice lol

You do right mate, you can always return to Zed ownership at a later date, plenty about, but I imagine not many early GTI's on throttle bodies if I'm right about the car.

Best of luck with your new steed, I'm a big fan of 'old skool'. :thumbsup:
 
Hey, just because you don't have a zed doesn't mean you have to say auvoir :D

Oh and that really is an old classic, very left field too
 
Good luck with the Mk1 Golf, just go careful with the brakes, the observant amongst you will notice the brake servo on the wrong side, with all of the cross linkages this makes things somewhat 'interesting', I'm speaking from previous experience with my own Mk1.
 
The mk1 is my favourite as well hence still owning one. The brakes are non existing indeed.
 
Always been a big fan. Same running gear as my old mk2 scirocco. Look out for the dreaded clutch cable pulling through the Bulkhead. Also the fuel filler pipe and fuel tank rusting out and sending rust into the supply. Happy motoring!
