Mixed emotions today. Very happy that all is well with Mrs IKZ4 and our impending new arrival due in August, but I've just waved goodbye to my Carbon Black Z4MC. As a 3rd car it was hard to justify keeping it, and I'm really pleased that it's gone to someone on the forum. After a bluetooth pairing nightmare (apparently using the pass key from my X3 doesn't work!) it was on its way back South with... I won't steal his \ her thunder, as I'm sure they will be posting on here soon.
It was a truly infectious car, defined by its engine. I can honestly see me getting a roadster version in a few years just to relive the experience of the S54. I think I would struggle to recommend it as a daily driver, although I know many people do exactly that. But as a piece of engineering and design it's a very special car.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll keep checking in on here, it's a great forum and I've enjoyed the car and the forum a lot. I took one last picture when I parked at the station to meet the buyer (I didn't see the poster until I'd got out of the car!) -
