Andy, welcome, a lovely looking car and colour combo, same as my first Z4  Now get yourself down to the Midlands Breakfast Club meet tomorrow and show your new baby off!

Thanks mate - won't be able to make tomorrow but it would be good to come along to an event!

Welcome.

It's always best to hold out for the car you want. Whilst it's frustrating for a few months not having the car, it's better than a few year's frustration of not having the one you want!

Oh, and I'm glad to see you chose a nice, reliable Yorkshire car (YJ** *** registration).

Thanks Andrew

I didn't realise the registration codes were region specific!

It was originally sold by BMW Huddersfield.... but has now been liberated to the right side of the Pennines!

Nice looking car, great colour combo

I drove a Z3 for the first time yesterday as a relative had bought one and i thought it was awful. Soooo dated and an underwhelming package overall. Quite dissapointed actually because i thought in the possible event of credit crunching i might get one.

Welcome. I believe we spoke recently on zroadster.net where I go under the name of Martin. Enjoy the new car and the new forum! :driving:

That really suprises me! Which model was it?

My 2 litre was great to drive. It lacks some of the refinements of it's replacement (glass screen/ hood insulation) but it was great fun. Overall I have found more similarities than differences between the 2 cars. I think the Z3 just feels a bit more 'raw'.
