Goodbye to the z4

Well its with a sad empty feeling that i said good bye to my beloved z4 today... owned for the years and taken her to Monaco, nice, cannes, st tropez, bern, Zurich, alps, Italian lakes, Venice, Corsica and Tuscany.

in all the time of ownership the only problem i had was a missfire that was cured by a new coil pack. she regularly returned high 30's mpg.

so the end of an era, but i need to get on the property ladder. hopefully get a z4 coupe in a few years when finances permit it.

just wanted to say what an excellent forum this is and contains a wealth of information. i managed to get about £6500 for the car, a 3.0i 2003, i think i did ok to get that as despite me doing my best to look after it there were a few minor age related defects such as stone chips and a scuffed alloy, it also needed an oil change and a service later in the year, i was honest with the buyer and pointed out what defects i was aware of, hopefully it proves as reliable for him as it did for me and that its still going in another 9 years!

hopefully be back on here in a few years time!

See you again soon and best of luck with the house. Certainly sounds like youve enjoyed some good times and am sure there are more to come

All the best with your property ladder climbing - not easy at all nowadays, but hopefully it will go well and as you say, you'll be back

(with some luck, by that time you will have recovered from the strange illness you seem to have developed that is making you consider a coupe  )

Hope you pointed the new owner in this direction :D

i dont blame you.....you can get the car back another time

im SOOOOO thankful i got on the property ladder when i did, .... as the more i hear from friends its starting to look more and more impossible...... unless you get a tiny house/flat in a crap area.... good luck and eventually you'll have a toy back in the garage.... YOUR garage.

Good luck with the bricks and mortar. Never ending mods to be done there too once swmbo gets going.

Stubby tv aerial anyone?
