Thanks  when I went to look at this one, there was someone in it looking at it! It surprises me when they only do 19 mpg! :)

Im just about to do the same sort if swap apart from ill be swapping from a 3.0 ltr to a m3 saloon. Its like when you were a kid and waiting for christmas!

It is a big upgrade from the S54, such a great engine. But yes thirsty! As default everything on ours was set in sport mode... after about 18 months of crap MPG and poor ride I played around with it and you can make it more economical and comfortable on longer runs by turning everything off lol! Maybe 26-28 if your lucky but with everything on 18 if your lucky! But then again thats what its for enjoy!!!

Cheers for the info Tom  I remember you posting the mpg comparisons between the zed M & v8 m3, the dealer said its possible to get 26-28 I think he was just trying to tempt me! :)

But I agree, a mighty fine vehicle, a late Christmas present :) Very jealous, only a few sleeps to go!

Thanks Woody  I know I said I certainly wanted a coupe...but just got carried away!

I pick it up on Monday just in the middle of all this lovely weather! I am looking forward to it, I am driving the zed everyday now trying to remember it the best I can :driving:

Watch the speed, I test drove a DCT as a possible swop for the Z4MC couldn't realise why the salesguy was so nervous until I realised we were over 100 leptons in a 60 lepton limit and it wasn't even trying.

Problem for me was that there was no drama almost too accomplished compared to the z4 and my previous E46M3, it was also a four door on 18's!

I know what your saying  when I test drove one not long after they were launched the dealer knew I had my 420bhp Cerbera so he wasn't bothered about me putting my foot down & I think we hit 120 on the slip road!

Just couldn't stomach the 50k price tag without any options at the time & the mrs said it was exactly the same as the 330d inside which I admit is a big letdown, I also agree with the accomplished side of things, if they did a V8 Zed I would buy one of them instead!

I just adore the engine in the M3 but the fuel bills will hurt

This weather has annoyed me! I was meant to be picking the M3 up today at 11am but the car is 130 miles away from where I live so I thought it would be sensible not to pick it up.

Moved it to Saturday now so hopefully the weather clears up a little by then...I was really looking forward to collecting it, but think its the best decision :)
