Good To Be Back... (pics)

Hi, as some of you know, i sold my 2003 3.0i roadster just over 2 months ago... i couldn't make up my mind on what car i wanted to get next, a Cayman S, 3.0si Coupe or an M Coupe (i won't go into the ins and outs of why they were my choices)... anyway, out of no where a MK5 R32 grabbed my attention... i knew at the time when i was buying it that i was not going to hold onto it for long (5 weeks in the end) so i went ahead with it... great car (especially the sound) but just not for me...

I then sold the R32 last week with a view of buying either an M Coupe and a 3.0si Coupe that came up for sale... and in the end i decided to go for the 3.0si Coupe (again, i won't go into the ins and outs of the two cars)

I am absolutely trilled with the 3.0si Coupe and i got around to taking a few photos of it today... i've also uploaded a few pics of my previous roadster and the r32 that i bought in between...

Apologies, to the point... here is my:

2008 3.0si Coupe Sport (8700 miles, 1 previous owner (ex owner of a BMW dealership), stubby ordered... and not planning on making any other mods apart from the AUX install which is also on order...)

Thanks for looking

Cracking wheels on your old roadster...

Coupe looks smart too, is that yellow seats or is it just the photo or my screen settings? And I've never been a fan of the R32s, do nothing for me apart from the truly immense exhaust note.

Thanks Ally, no they are cream seats... although they do look a little light in the photos (iphone), yeah 5 weeks was enough for me in the R32

Welcome back a good looking Roadster and Coupe,i used own a mark V Golf a 2ltr sport but it didn't last long the gf thought it was too daddsie and boring and she was right.

I like the new ride  some nice shots of the Roadster! I like Ally am not a big fan of the R32 but my neighbour had one and that exhaust note is very infectious indeed

Thanks all... very happy with it...

what put you off the R32 out of interest?

Just felt a bit boring and plain... it didn't have that "looking back at your car" factor when you've just parked up (please tell me others get that feeling  )

Lovely coupe there

Just a note on the Aux install. Mine is an 07 and comes with the Aux install. Thought it was standard from 07?

Thanks JDM, i also thought the AUX was standard, however i don't see a connection anywhere... i presume the factory fitter are all fitted in the one location...

No, it's not there... as i just removed that exact panel a while ago as i was trying to fit the AUX lead up through it so i wouldn't have to remove the air vents to get the radio out... however i nearly broke my wrist and consequently did not manage to fit it :(

I hate removing the vents as i think it is impossible to pull the air vents out without marking the surrounding dash (due to the need to use a screw driver to prise the vents out once you have the clips down)...

Weird.. Could have sworn it was standard. Sure someone will come along shortly and put me right..

Oh well good luck with the install.

Nice example you have there. What is the building in the background?

I am sure Aux is standard on all UK cars only after 07... but guessing the OP has a Irish build.. which most manufacturers spec differently (and not for the better) in Ireland.

Aux was standard on the /Ms 2007+, think it was still an option on the others.

Coupe looks awesome, cracking colour combo. You clearly take very good care of them too

Thanks for all the feedback... the building is an old church... just drove past it one day out in the country and thought it would be a good spot for some photos...

Ireland is notorious for small spec'd cars... dealers try to keep the price to an absolute minimum as VRT is applied to all extras also
