I'm getting some wheels soon but that will be all. If I had an ///M I think I'd only change the wheels.

I know what you mean about being a waste of time and effort. Sometimes I look at a post and think " this is gonna take an hour of writing and that's one hour less at the pub and nobody's gonna listen anyway " so I just let it slide.

Ahh yes, I remember that thread. Did you notice that in my one contribution to that thread I didn't have to give any facts or figures yet nobody disputed my statement. It could be that nobody was in the mood for an argument however the whole thread was an argument so the only conclusion must be that I was obviously right and everyone knew it!!!
True, and it looks a bit too slab-sides for my liking, especialyl with the side skirts. Good though, this has got to force BMW to make something of the next Z4.GP20 said:

Yeah you seem to sit so far forward in the roadster, further forward than a mid-engined car like the Boxster.
Yep in the Z4 you couldn't really sit much further back. The interior of the latest TT is very nice though, apart from the seats.

Thing is though ive already heard of people having their dashboards taken out to fix rattles in the TT-S... and id be a bit miffed if i had rattles on a 40 grand car... just got rid of my GTI cos it rattled like a tin of dried peas.
Seems audi build quality is going down. They seem to use quality materials but the way they design the to fit together is poor it think.

For average drivers (i.e. people who can't get the best out of a mid-engined screamer, like me), sitting over the back axle is actually the friendliest place to be. You get the earliest indication of what the back end is doing, and the movements are all exaggerated so IMHO it's easier to control when sliding. Engine up-front, arse over the rear axle is a formula that has worked well for Caterham and formerly Lotus for 50 years.Wondermike said:
