the zed's mpg at a typical speed. Almost 300 miles per tank! That is not bad at all.

I regularly get 300 miles out of my Z4MC at between 70mph & 80mph - and my consumption is showing as 27.9mpg (UK gallons).

If you're getting 26mpg in a 3.0 with a 14.5 (US) gallon tank should see you getting over 370 miles to a tank.

mmm-five,

for some reason, i regularly get about 300 to 310 a tank. it's a combination of city and not just highway.

i have this applicationfor my iphone (gascubby), and it varies my MPG from as low as 22.3 to as high as 25.

My record on the computer was a regular 47MPG (+/- 1) on a 25mile run from Buxton to Sheffield City Centre at 1AM trying to maintain a constant 50-55mph where the speed limit permits :) Not bad for a 3.0i Roadster on 95ron and 18" wheels!

Summary: M54 = Good Engine :)

whoah your brave tu put things like that on Facebook :) a guy from school once wrote a racist comment on gypsies and got busted by the cops and later outta school :) lot of spying involved, thats why ill delete mine when applying for university, there is not a single photo of me sober or without a stripper on my lap

Haha notice I'm not in those pictures. I just post others' pictures to show off.

Odd, my 3.0 even doing 80-90mph will get around 350+ miles to the tank. Of course that is all highway. Since it's been so long I'm not sure what the mpg sits at on highway. City I'm lucky to get it above 26 :driving:

Liverpool to Telford on friday, about 100 miles mostly M6 motorway cruising at around 70 MPH averaged 34.MPG door to door. I was delicate with the right boot to see what i could get but that's pretty good for an 'M'!

Rather go 10mphs slower and get even better mpg.

Getting over 400 miles to a tank is easy with Super unleaded 8)

Wow what am I doing wrong??

I did London to Liverpool yesterday (admittedly my first proper drive) os 3.0SE and most of it was 70mph on 6th gear - only managed 31.4mpg.

I managed 19mpg on a short run around town today....... that a record :( ?

My car is electronically limited to 155mph. And its wifely limited to 70mph when she's in the car. Any speeding will be warned by a hefty siren emerging from the passenger side

No worries, on highways with cruise on I'll only manage around 30-35mpg. When I did my drive from Las Vegas to Louisiana my best distance was 380 miles to the tank of gas (I was filling up around 350-then that only because I didn't know where the next gas station was). But that was with a good bit of weight in the car It's all dependent on if your going a slight incline/decline, wind resistance, and probably some more stuff I'm not considering.
What size is your engine Smokedog?

I think it's cool to be able to say that on an unhurried run I can get 34 MPG from a car that's sub 5 seconds to 60 and which is usually driven very hard with the 'sport' or 'please feed me more superunleaded' button depressed :D
