Good looking Rear?

CF badges are replacements. Very high quality resin cast over CF. Look very OEM. A few of us have used the same supplier now.
And who might that be? Local to you, ebay,....

I think the straight on rear view with hardtop is a really good vew. I'll be shot but better than the coupe at that angle.
Well, maybe. Let's not start any fights..... :fuelfire: :D

We'll leave the coupe fight...lol

CF badges came from a UK Ebay trader. Someone recommended them to me and since then I think about 4 or 5 have purchased from him.

This is him:

There must be an equal in the US?

It does indeed look very good

I was just going to revive your 'Do you look back at your Zed' thread as I've just walked back to mine in the gloom with the street lights just coming on thinking WOW what a great looking car.

Must resist the urge to buy a carbon diffusor. :headbang:

Very, very, very good lookin' car. :happyclap:
Disctinctive yet subtle modifications, which is precisely the way i like it done.

i think it would look even better with the french fries removed, looks cleaner. I removed mine and it looked better, maybe because they are more noticable being a lighter colour?.

Looking good and nice mods  cannot beat the rear of a pre facelift Z4 especially the french fry tailights a nice aggressive tail end one of my favourite views of my Z

OK - so since doing al the mods I've never had the top on to see what it all came out like

So you have forgotten about photos on page 9 of this thread then.

Fair enough, but I'd not quite finished and still had to do the right rear brake lens (that everyone said ruined the symmetry), final fit the diffuser, build the lower corner infills and paint the cans matt black to disguise them somewhat. It's properly finished now, rather than close to end of WIP.

looks brilliant CJ.. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh on Sunday :D

some inspirational idea stealing may be the order of the day ;)

Steal all the ideas you want, but leave your socket set at home :)

I'd best do an 'Andy' and wash it Saturday. After 300 miles in the last 2 days, much of which seems to have been on wet roads, she looks a tad tired.

I'll be 'Andy'ing mine on Saturday too.. crazy amount of road crud at present :/

Just looking at this thread to decide for certain whether I want to go facelift on my front bumber... I do!

It was a straight swap wasn't it? I have a mint condition one lined up with headlight washers in there etc, all good to go, simple bolt off/on job?

I just need some damn clear front lights.

Yes the bumper swap is a straight change. You may need to make minor adjustment to the leading edge of the front undertray and the fixings are different, but that's 5 minutes ans some self tappers. Don't forget you need the different foglights, but they connect straight up.

Clear lights are always on the wanted list

Hmm missed this first time around. The exhausts look so much better painted back, big difference.

Thanks Lewi - mortgages have stopped many of my plans too...

Can you believe Mike I did them in mat black barbeque paint as a quick test before consideringpowder coating. I hadn't realised it would bake on with the heat and a year later is still perfect and unmarked

I've also discoverd it's near impossible to photo the rear diffuser and show it's structure given the way light seems to be tricked by it (and my limited skill)
