Good deal on new discs.....

I've screwed a local dealer down for a full set of OEM discs for £600 all in, anyone know where. If. I could better that...
 
Never really came in at a starting point just got into a discussion that I use this dealer for all my bits on my previous M3, would like to give them the business etc etc...came in at 620 then just rounded it down to an easy 600,,,,,I'm going EBC YELLOWS again,,,, :thumbsup:
 
Mister were doing the fronts at £240 delivered a while back. And thats ATE, so the same as the genuine articles. Now they have escalated to £400 ish i think :x
 
on an internal invoice which I managed to acquire whilst purchasing the Zed, each disc is 163.00 but thats a trade price without VAT. So closer to 200 per disc in total at a dealer trade price..
(yep they are the fronts also.....not sure how they managed to get them so cheap trade...


What do they usually retail at?
 
If they're genuine BMW parts, not just OEM or OE quality, then that sounds like a good price.

Cheapest I've ever managed to get genuine fronts for was about £160 each from BMMiniParts.

CarParts4Less on ebay have ATE fronts discs for £164.
 
Seem pretty expensive for discs to me. Are bmw oem discs really worth the extra over other well known brands? You can get all 4 discs made by brembo, bosch, textar or similar for around £400

When I last looked, the other brands were similarly priced (Pagid, Zimmerman) or higher (EBC, Brembo, Stoptech), so were not worth the risk swapping.

Not sure Stoptech makes OEM style floating discs for our Ms. Before I got my big brake kit (also Stoptech by the way) I really looked for OEM sized upgrades, not equivalents, and couldn't find anything.

Don't know if they're floating or not but they were about £480 a pair (so probably not). For EBCs it was about £600 a pair.

Aha! I have discovered why I didn't see it. You checked the "generic" Centric parts, Stoptech's parent company and maker of OEM equivalent stuff, i was checking the Stoptech parts catalogue which doesn't list them. Crisis averted. :rofl:
 
Been down the route of the OEM Quality on my M3 with Pagid fronts from eurocar parts and I'm sorry but they are just not the same quality as OEM, I'm buying BMW discs their quality is proven, circa 35k on the fronts, Pagids were shafted after just 18k on my M3, same driving style, same pads, £400 for a set of none OEM quality is false economy... :thumbsup:
 
Sounds great. however we are stronger as a group and I am happy to organise a group buy for OEM discs... I have done very well in past group buys even at dealers!
