Good deal for this car? (Above KBB but seems in perfect shape)

Found a 2003 2.5i with 102k miles in pretty much perfect condition aside from an airbag light from a minor fender bender that was repaired; going to have a mechanic look at it before buying. It's a sharp-looking blue exterior, has the tan interior I love, and is a manual which is surprisingly rare compared to automatics (at least in my searches). Only drawback is it doesn't have the nav system so I'd need to cut the dash if I wanted to add a larger modern touchscreen radio (though I may just add a bluetooth module to the OEM radio).

Looks like KBB range tops out around $8700. This is listed at $9500. Assuming that light is nothing, I wanted to get some of your knowledgeable opinions on the car, since I'm new to the Z4 world. Worth pursuing or...?

That would seem expensive in the UK, reckon about £2-4K depending on condition. The sat nav is very old fashioned and doesn’t add value. Prices in the US seem to be much higher.

The airbag light could be simple or it could cost more than the car is worth to repair.. Read the codes before you commit to buying it. Why was it not sorted when the accident damage was repaired? Because its too expensive or they don't know how to?

Prices are stronger in the US for sure, if the car is running nicely and in good condition it may be a good buy, but prices are highest in summer falling away in autumn. When buying you need to consider who is going to maintain or repair the Z4, you may be able to do most yourself, the car is 20 yrs old if you need a specialist workshop it’s going to be expensive.
It not a Mustang that every workshop knows how to fix.

To be fair though a Z4 is nothing exotic either, its standard BMW stuff under the skin.

The availability of parts, plus support from members on this forum were prime attractions to me when I bought my Z4. I had already owned a BMW with an N52 engine, and I felt I could properly maintain the Z4 myself far more reasonably than comparable fun cars I considered.
