Gonna have a meltdown with dealer....

They still havn't got back to me yet so i'll give them a ring just before lunchtime. The dealer has screwed up a fair few times with me but they have given me excellent service with loaners and taking issues seriously.

Re: Paint. I had also the rear part of the bootlid repainted due to a strange mark that had appeared under the clear coat. In fairness the body shop seems to have sorted it but they had three goes sorting the bumper.

I have lots of dust nibs in my paint as well. Paint on these cars isn't good at all.

Having said that the wifes 1M has only one slight bleamish in the paint and without tempting fate there has been no issues at all. So they can get it right when they want.

What bothers me with this sort of thing, is not the damage itself, cos s**t happens, but the fact they dont care, and hand the car back with the damage as if you wont care.

Where's the pride in workmanship from the mechanics?

I've been wondering that so many times :( Guess most of the dealers have a lot of customers with company cars that don't care about their cars as much as we do and so dealers must have gotten used to it not to give a damn
Tbh it shouldnt matter company car or not

I think to replace that it's a new airbag the badge is not available on its own
That's what I thought too... the badge comes as part of the airbag. Not sure if it's available as a separate part. I found this out when some idiot tried to prise my steering wheel badge off with a screwdriver...

True, but looking at how many company cars are treated I can understand they're not as picky about their cars as us. For us it's our pride and joy, lots of people cannot understand that :)

Quick update.

Dealer called and asked me to swing by for them to take a look.

No problem they are ordering a new assembly and have told me they have seen this problem once before and it was unlikely caused by them but certainly a manufacturing fault.

Fair enough. Only reason I looked at the wheel was because they had been working at the steering.

The problem with the steering is being further investigated when I drop the car in next week.

Was out all day today in the sun :driving:  8)

See, not worth going mental about was it now... not worth the raised blood pressure.. glad you're getting it sorted.
