Hi all
It is with a heavy heart and a tear in the eye that I this week bid farewell to my beautiful Z4 Coupe.
As much as I loved her unfortunately living with the car day to day, with my life circumstances (a baby and wife!), what I needed the car for and indeed where I live, was not longer tenable.
The last 6 months or so have been as entertaining as they've been frustrating but looking at her on the driveway or in the car park always brought a smile to my face.
On a positive note, it absolutely got me back into driving again and more importantly BMWs after a reversion back to Audi for a while. That meant when looking for a replacement car it was always going to be a BMW.
I did absolutely consider letting all you guys know that my Coupe may be up for sale but things happened quite quickly over the last few weeks and I ended up talking to a few dealers with one in particular offering me an extremely good trade in for my car. I would imagine it had something to do with the time of year (who else buys a car on the 23rd December?!) and the state of the market but in any event I found a car I liked and the deal was done - I don't actually think I'd have got much more privately.
So, I am now the proud (yes, really!) owner of a year old 3 series M Sport Plus Edition in Alpine White - don't disown me too much, at least it's still a BMW!
My car should be up for sale soon - whoever buys her is getting an extremely good example. Many of you who I've chatted to on the forum before will know that I spent 6 months finding the right one so someone is going to get a superb example.
Hopefully I will return to Z4 ownership at some point - in the meantime I am going to continue to contribute to the forum and read from time to time - and try not to get too jealous of you lot!
Finally, thank you to all of you who given me advice over the last year in both sourcing and owning a Z4 Coupe - this is the best car forum I've been a member of - thank you.
One Team
